Irene Mosley

Mrs. Irene Knight Mosley, age 92, of Waxhaw, NC, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Hospice of Union County. A Celebration of Irene's life will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 5300 Nesbit Rd., Waxhaw, NC, 28173, officiated by Pastor Mike Harris. Interment will follow in the Walkersville Evangelical Presbyterian Cemetery, 6204 Brady Rd., Waxhaw, NC, 28173. A time for us all to say a final farewell to Irene will take place from 10:00 AM - 1:45 PM in the sanctuary of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, prior to the Celebration of Life service. Face coverings are required for entry, We are grateful to Bethlehem United Methodist for allowing this viewing and celebration service, and will be following their guidelines of no more than 50 people admitted into the sanctuary at any given time. Irene was born November 3, 1928, in Lancaster Co., SC, a daughter of the late Mary Lee Knight. Throughout her life, Union County was home to Irene and her family. In addition to being a full time mother and homemaker, she worked alongside her family on the poultry farm. Irene also loved her church family dearly. With a heart for God and her family, Irene was a woman who always took time to count her blessings and be thankful for what she had. The warmth and love of her personality will continue to be a blessing to all who knew her. Irene is survived by her son, William Michael Mosley (Mary), her daughters; Margaret Marie Hill (Roger), Teresa Anne Eubank (Mike), 9 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, William Arlin Mosley, her brother, Roscoe Knight, and her sister, Mary Branham. Irene's family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Union County for their kind and compassionate care of Mrs. Mosley.
